Coach Hernbrott was very instrumental in Jake’s successful transition from playing high school hockey to playing ACHA hockey at Aurora University. Coach was very honest right from the start of their relationship. He made sure to understand more than just the hockey side of Jake. Making sure Jake understood that he should pick a university based on academics and campus size and not to base his decision on the hockey club. Hockey is a bonus. Coach shared some great insights, one being centered around conditioning, which Jake took very seriously. Coach Hernbrott has so much hockey knowledge to share and he does it with utmost honesty and integrity. I am thankful that he and Jake had the opportunity to cross paths at such a crucial time in Jake’s career.
